Yeah, that’s me getting a hug from Canadian director extraordinnaire, Atom Egoyan.

Now that Marvel is trying to make Dr. Strange all hip and everything, do you think we’ll ever see Clea again?  I miss her.

Amazing.  But I wish it was bigger.

Coming in at nearly 1,000 pages, this is the book (one of 4, actually) that I chose to take on my European vacation?  Wish I liked e-books.

I have been woefully neglecting Tumblr, haven’t I?  Heading t Reyjavik and Paris tonight, so I will try to be better.  Also, I’ve inexplicably started following a small batch of gay librarians’ blogs.

I, as a filmmaker, treat my works as I do my own sons or daughters. I don’t care if people are fond of them or despise them, as long as I created them with my best intentions and efforts. If these offspring of mine cannot live in their own country for whatever reason, let them be free. There is no reason to mutilate them in fear of the system. Otherwise there is no reason for one to continue making art. Apichatpong Weerasethakul, in the Bangkok Post. (via dylzo)

My Question For The Day

Wow… too many to list, but i will go with Medusa, Mantis and Moondragon from Marvel, and Black Orchid and Saturn Girl from DC.  Why?

Medusa - Queen of the Inhumans.  Regal, tough, the true power  behind that throne.

Mantis - Enigmatic, fun, tough.

Moondragon - Powerful, arrogant, flawed, complex.

Black Orchid - Too cool for school, love those plant-based characters, so much potential

Saturn Girl - Powerful, moral, iron will.
